Introduction to Bullying (Q)
What comes to mind when you think of bullying? Is it seeing someone shoved up against a locker with no one in sight? Or, someone verbally abusing another to their breaking point? If so, then you are on the right path to really understand what the true meaning of this problem is.

Definition of bullying w/ research (Q)
Bullying is defined as, “the use of superior strength or influence (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.” After reading articles and articles of stories about bullying, this definition is spot on. One day, Michelle walks through a hallway. It’s her first day at her new school across the country. No one knows her and she knows no one. Then, she walks through a door in that same hallway into a class full of different looking people. She then realizes it’s her that is different. The teacher introduces Michelle and her classmates stare, quietly whispering to themselves. Embarrassment taking over as her footsteps echo to her new seat. Then, she trips and that’s when her life changed. Every one of her peers started laughing, even the teacher contributed a few chuckles before attempting to break up the never ending laughter. For the rest of the day, they’d look at her and snicker. They even taped a piece of paper to her locker which read “had a nice trip?” Michelle ran home, not wanting to be in school any longer, when, out of nowhere, a foot popped out of the bush beside her. She was so focused on running that she hadn’t had time to stop. She ran right into the foot. She collapsed on the cement. Her knees scraped and bleeding, the boy who had tripped her stood towering above, recording every last bit of her embarrassment. He said that there was no room for people of Michelles race at his school. That she should stay on the floor where she belongs, like the dog she is. The boy had posted the video on social media for all her peers to see. People kept commenting on the video, leaving mean and nasty comments about Michelle that was when the online bullying started. Her classmates would call her names and make up rumors about her. They’d tell her to go back to where she came from. Michelle felt that her first day was the first bad day of many. For the rest of the school year, people had called her dog. The physical harassment wasn’t too bad at first, it started with tripping and pushing her; but as the school year progressed, people started to beat her up, leaving broken bones and black
