Basketball is America’s past time. But all around the world soccer is the most popular sport. Fans are crazy about their teams and travel around the world just to see them play. Soccer is the most played and watched game in the world. I could never forget the first time my dad and I went to watch Manchester United vs. Real Madrid in the major league soccer game. The excitement began from my house to the stadium and during the time of game. Now, I was six years old, and my dad had me up on his shoulders so I could have a good sight of the game. The cheering of the crowd, the singing and chants were almost more than I could stand. For each time players of both side had the chance to shoot into to the goal or the score was open, everyone in the whole stadium would stand up and yell, “GOAL!” a memory that I could never forget. This reason is why it is considered to be a favorite sport to any people and individuals prefer it to any other sport. Soccer is a more enjoyable sport than basketball because of the rules, number of players in a team, and how to score among each other.
Basketball is played using hands. If a player hits the ball with his/her feet, his/her team will be penalized. However, putting one’s hand under the ball is also considered a foul in basketball. In soccer, a player other than the goalkeeper cannot use his/her hands except when the ball goes out of play courtesy of an opponent. If a player other than the goalkeeper touches the ball with his/her hands inside the field of play, he/she is penalized. However, players can use their feet and the rest of their body parts to win the ball over their opponents. The goalkeeper is allowed to use every body part to prevent the ball from landing into his net.

...al number of points that a team gets does not depend on the number of goals. A team gets a maximum of three points if it wins, one point if it draws, but no point if it loses. Besides, there is only one break that falls at the middle of the 90-minute period of a soccer match.
Soccer is a better sport than basketball because of the rules, number of players in a team, and how to score among the other team. As a child you will never get the chance to experience sitting on your dads shoulders, hearing the crowd go crazy and start cheering for their teams at a basketball game as much as at a major league soccer game. Whether it’s choosing a sport, a career, a home, or a flavor of ice cream, it’s important to examine your options Therefore, think about your priorities in life and expand your horizon you never know you might just consider playing soccer for a living.
College and NBA basketball aren’t that different they have many similarities and many differences. The main difference is that College has halves and NBA has quarters, The Shot clock is different too. College is 35 seconds and NBA is 24 seconds , The shooting distance is different from the 3pt line. In college you only get 5 fouls before you foul out and in the NBA you get 6. In my opinion College basketball is way more competitive and way more emotional than the NBA.

with, kicking, or passing it. With passing, though, you can only pass the ball backwards or directly to your side, never forward. Like football, you score by running the ball into the endzone or by kicking it through the uprights. Also, you must touch the ball to the ground for it to count, and it is worth five points. When kicking, the ball can be kicked from anywhere spontaneously. If it passes through the uprights, it is worth three points, as in football.
In the world of sport, soccer and football with respect to demographic has had numerous controversies. Although both sport are known famously around the globe, for many years fans from both sides are known for asking, is American football same as soccer? What’s the time limit on both sports? In conclusion, football and soccer have their similarities, but these similarities are superficial. There are many fundamental differences, such as the use of one’s hands being illegal in soccer, except for the goalie when he/she is inside his/her respective eighteen-yard boundary. Another example is the alternation of a team’s offense and defense in football as opposed to the simultaneous effort of the offense and defense in soccer. These differences in rules, rituals, and concepts distinguish these two sports from each other. However, there are similarities, such as the fact that both sports allow eleven players on each team to play on the field at a time. Also, the area where one scores is in the same locations in both sports, the end zones of football and the goals of soccer are on opposite sides of the field.
I cannot exactly place my reasoning, yet it still captivates me nonetheless. Soccer, or football, as most of the world knows it, stands out—at least to me—from virtually all sports. My opinion may be biased after a decade of playing, but there is a good reason I stuck with it for so long. While playing, I found myself to become so impassioned with not just the obvious, drawn-out goals of the game, but also with the paralyzing suspense present in no other sport quite as it is in soccer. I find it to be equally as exciting play as it is to behold. Seeing how one minute movement can completely change the outcome of the game is a marvel even to witness, let alone play. You almost cannot afford to look away, as every match is both detail-oriented and volatile.

Soccer has proven to be a notable sport throughout the years starting with its unique history. Soccer began all over the world tracing back thousands of years. In China and Rome, games that were similar to soccer were played around 200 B.C. (Helmer and Owens, 5). Two teams of eleven players each participate in getting the ball into the other team’s goal, thus scoring a goal. The team that has scored more goals at the end of the game wins. If both teams have scored an equal number of goals, then the game is a tie. Each team is controlled by a captain. In game play, players make an effort to create goal scoring occasions through individual control of the ball, such as dribbling, passing the ball to a team-mate, and by taking shots at the goal, that is guarded by the goalkeeper belonging to the other team....
Finally, we have reached the age to play sports, but what sport would be the best? Many kids turn to baseball and football because these are America’s past time sport, but there is always a select few that choose soccer. Why, because their parents force them to play. Soccer, in a parents point of view, is seen as a safe exercise sport, you can make friends and most important, get outside. At such a young age, kids have never been the best at following directions, which leads to chaos on the field. Kids swarm around the ball wishing for the chance to kick the ball a couple of times. In all truth, “Kids don't grow up wanting to watch tag on TV, or be a professional tag player, and that's really how most kids who play it view soccer. It's fun, its outdoors and it involves running around, but that's about it” (Emen). Besides the fact of parents forcing soccer down the kids throat, they get the image that soccer will forever be a disorganized sport, which in all truth can be at some points. The main reason for this is because in America, we were never taught how to play s...
