4. In what ways have you gotten better at this kind of work?
I think my writing and attitude towards writing has improved a lot. Earlier in the year, it was difficult for me to gather my thoughts about a topic and I would struggle to find a good start.
I would always type something and end up deleting it because I was afraid it wasn’t a good enough sentence. I struggled to find the right words to convey an idea. My attitude towards writing essays also hindered my overall performance early on. I would give up and push the essay to the side if I didn’t like what I wrote or couldn’t find the right words. 35. As you look at this piece, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?
If there’s one thing I would like to improve on, it would be making my body paragraphs longer by using direct quotations from the book and using it to explain my points. My body paragraphs were of adequate length in my final essay, but I feel like I could’ve made a lot more points to make my writing stronger. I feel like I just hit the minimum in terms of length of body paragraphs. Providing more information would’ve definitely strengthened my writing.
36. What's one goal you would like to set for yourself for next time?
One goal I would like to set for myself next time would be to devote more time to writing the essay. We were given a lot of time to do the essay but I didn’t really start to write until a couple of hours before it was due. I feel like if I devoted more time to writing the essay and formulated my thoughts more, my essay would be much stronger and my essay grade would
