On Wednesday there were 14 people brutally murdered in San Bernardino, California. President Obama spoke to the U.S. about the situation. In my opinion, he is saying he wants to do all this stuff to help us, but in all reality he isn’t going to do anything. These 14 people who were brutally murdered could’ve been alright if he would’ve gone about the situation earlier. That’s what I think anyway. These people were innocent people just coming to visit for the holidays. They were taken from their family and friends because people are ignorant. This situation Obama states the things we have to do in order to destroy Isil and be safe. He is keeping our military out to hunt down terrorists, providing training and equipment, and working with
For instance, the attack which occurred in Paris, France in November 2015. Hundreds of people were killed during that night. The United States former president Barak Obama gave a speech on the same night when the attack occurred. During the speech, he said he would do anything for the people of France in order to keep them safe. Moreover, the president himself went to Paris to support and pray for the victims. I was really admired by what the United States did after the attack. The night after the attack, the Eiffel Tower's lights were all turned off, however, many countries changed their monuments' lights to France's flag color in order to give tribute to the

In the Obama Sandy Hook School Shooting speech, the exigence that Obama talked about was the tragedy of the school shooting. In the speech, he talks about how he is reacting as a parent and not as a president. Obama also talks about how the children had their life ahead of them. He basically said the children were going to become something in life; some were going to get married, and some were going t...
Obama’s argument starts off very formal and informative. He begins his Newtown Interfaith Prayer Vigil by addressing what had happened that fateful day and acknowledging those who were courageous. He appeals to the audiences mournful emotions by first addressing the people of Newtown, “They lost their lives in a school that could have been any school; in a quiet town full of good and decent people that could be any town in America”. Here, he is not only creating a dramatic effect with the use of a semicolon, he also connects the people of Newtown to the Nation. With his use of connecting terms such as “any school” and “any town” he is including the people at home watching and bringing their attention to the fact that this really could have happened to anyone, they just hadn’t noticed. That dramatic pause also He then goes on to appeal to
He wants safe and secure life for all people living on this great nation. Obama not only uses the strategy of emotional stories of children to persuade his audience, he uses real mass shooting events to capture the audience emotions, as invites all the country to step with him and face this problem that’s threaten our safety. During the speech his reveling many sorrow events to encourage us to take this big move with him. Obama connects to the audience and expresses to them that he is the one that is going to make proper changes to this great
This was a very emotional event that occurred. Many people lost loved ones they cared about in the terrorist attack. For many Americans knowing that terrorist groups could attack U.S. soil scared a lot of people. Before, President Bush first addressed the nation on this terrible event many people had lost hope. When writing his speech, it was easy for him to relate to what happened. President Bush didn’t have to create an emotional response; he was already feeling the pain and was speaking from his heart during his speech. When President Bush gave his speech to the nation, it helped people realize that Americans are still strong and we will continue to fight for our country. He stated in his speech “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America.” (George Bush) By President Bush stating this in his speech it showed that they can try to scare us, but they can’t change the way we do things in
In his opening lines Obama shows his compassion for the victims and mourners of the shooting stating: “I have come here tonight as an American who, like all Americans, kneels to pray with you today, and will stand by you tomorrow.” With just this short statement Obama aligns himself with the American people, showing his empathy and comforting the people by saying “I will be here for you.” This allows him to form a connection with his audience, which he further reinforces though his use of the term “we” when addressing the American population: “We mourn with you for the fallen. “We join you in your grief.” He also draws parallels between the nation’s mourning following the shooting and the mourning that comes with losing a family member...
President Bush restates important points in his speech such as the devastation on the community, and how we need to help those going through this rough time. He also tells us multiple times how we can help these victims.

President Obama’s Address to the nation was presented on January 5, 2016. His speech was shown on all of the major network stations. The main goal of his speech was to get the point across to the nation about the increasing problem of gun use. His speech really focused on the issue of gun control and if it would benefit the country. Overall, the biggest idea of his Address was that gun control is a large issue in the United States. The way to prevent deaths caused by firearms can be prevented in other ways than taking peoples guns away. The examples brought up in this Address really stood out to me. The use of personal, national, and global examples really made his speech stronger on the topic of effectiveness.
Imagine living in a society which takes away your most important right(s). Put yourself in that position where; You have no freedom, You cannot properly live your life, nor can you own any sort of property, All because of the color of your skin. Even the government is corrupted by this belief of skin color defining your class and will deny you by all means based on this simple yet cruel discrimination. How would you feel? What would you do? In life humans must learn how to cope with each other and overlook this simple discrimination. The 14th amendment is important because it is the essence of Human life in terms of treatment and respect. This was not the United States the founding fathers had envisioned.

Many key concepts were represented in the article such as realism, humanitarian intervention and the responsibility to protect.
No one will ever forget the fateful day of September 11, 2001. That day was and still is a day that not only changed America, but also the World. September 11th, more commonly referred to as 9/11, began as a normal day. However, at about 8:45 terrorists hijacked a plane and flew it right into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. At first everyone thought it was just an accident, but at 9:03 it was confirmed a terrorist attack as another plane flew into the South Tower. The entire country was on high alert, but it still wasn’t enough to stop another plane that flew into the Pentagon at 9:37. There was a fourth plane but it crashed in Ohio on its way to D.C. to supposedly hit the White House. Not more than 12 hours after the first attack President Bush stood before the nation and gave a short five minute speech. This speech was to rally the nation and the world to fight to stop terrorism, assure everyone that the United States was still functioning and would continue to function no matter what, and to condemn the ones responsible for these attacks. Barack Obama began the first Wednesday after the attacks in the same way he began the first Monday, with a verbal assault on Republicans at a press conference on foreign soil. “We are not well served when in response to a terrorist attack we descend into fear and panic,” he said at a press conference in the Philippines. “We don’t make good decisions if it’s based on hysteria or an exaggeration of risks. The refugee debate is an example of us not being well served by some of the commentary taking place by officials
