Have you ever considered what labors Eurystheus would have assigned Hercules if he lived in the modern world? Back then the labors Eurystheus assigned to Hercules was based on feats so difficult that they seemed impossible such as defeating the Nemean lion, defeating the hydra, and more. But what labors could Eurystheus assign Hercules if he lived in the modern world? In my opinion I think that Eurystheus would give Hercules these labors if he lived in the modern world.
The first labor that Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to beat Usain Bolt in a 100 meter sprint. Usain Bolt holds the record for the fastest time in a 100 meter sprint with the time of 9.69 seconds. Hercules would meet Usain Bolt at the Regupol Tartan Track. The Regupol Tartan Track is the track field that Usain Bolt practices at in Jamaica. They would take a few practice runs on the track field and Hercules would notice that whenever Usain Bolt sprints he takes long strides and uses that to his advantage. Usain Bolt and Hercules steps on the start line and waits for the starter to shoot the gun. Once the starter shoots the gun Hercules and Usain Bolt sprints as fast as lightning. Usain Bolt started off with a lead, but once Hercules started to take longer strides he eased past Usain Bolt and beat him with a time of 7 seconds. Usain Bolt congratulates Hercules and gives him his track shoes as a token for beating him. Hercules returns back to Eurystheus with Usain Bolt’s track shoes as proof that he beat him.
The second labor that Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to find the Slender Man (a mythical creature often depicted as a tall, thin figure wearing a black suit and a blank face) and kill him. In order to kill Slender man Hercules must do his...

... jumped in it with no hesitation. After a 5 minutes Hercules climbs out of the volcano butt-naked because the volcano had burned off his clothes. Hercules returns back to Eurystheus butt-naked as proof that he did jump in the volcano.
The 12th labor that Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to do 100 push-ups, 200 pull-ups, 300 sit-ups, and 400 body-squats. Hercules did the work out in sets of 10. He would do 10 push-ups, 20 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, and 40 body-squats 10 times. It took Hercules one hour to finish the work out. Hercules threw up after finishing the workout. Eurystheus congratulated Hercules for finishing the 12 labors and told him that he was forgiven for the murder of his wife and children. Eurystheus asked Hercules what he was going to do since he was finished with all the labors and Hercules replied back saying that he was going to Disney World.
Theseus, The Great Athenian hero, was the son of Dianae and King Aegeus. Theseus had something that not many children at his age didn’t have, “he grew up strong far beyond others” (210). When he was young his father, King Aegeus, set a hollow sword and a pair of shoes and placed a great
He tells him that Hercules can regain his god like status once he becomes a “true hero,” which calls Hercules to a great adventure. What is a better way of becoming a “true hero,” than to go to Satyr Philoctetes, who is known for training heroes, such as Achilles, Odysseus, and many more. Satyr becomes one of Hercules’ best friend, (besides Pegasus), and mentor throughout the whole movie, which was great because it was amusing to watch Satyr basically face palm himself whenever Hercules does something
Then the hero arrives at the home of Polyphemos. Polyphemos is a huge cyclops and also a cannibal. Odysseus and twelve of his men are trapped inside Polyphemos’ cave and can’t get out. Polyphemos comes back and eats some of the hero’s men. The next night Odysseus gets the cyclops drunk on wine, and when it falls asleep, Odysseus and his remaining men blind it with a large pole. He and his men barely escape with their lives and continue on the voyage.
In order for us to understand what he meant by using Hercules' name and amount of background would need to be known.
Odysseus is one of the first Greek mythic heroes renowned for his brain as well as his muscle. Heracles VS Hercules The legend of Hercules has been told and retold thousands of times; it is by far one of the best known Greek myths of all time. In fact, it was so well known that Disney made it into a movie. Like any story that’s adapted into a movie, there are some differences and similarities between the myth and the movie. This paper will go over the main differences and similarities between the two versions of the same myth.
Myths and religious doctrine are generally recognized as two entirely different things. Myths are usually referred to as a fictitious story or a half-truth; often they are stories shared between groups of people that are part of a cultural society. Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, and purpose of the universe, and often containing an ethical code dictating appropriate human conduct. Although they differ in certain aspects, they still hold similarities. Comparable to parables within the Bible, myths have different versions which are both motivating, as well as entertaining. There are not only parallels to the idea of the stories but specific tales hold similar morals and equivalent characters.
Odysseus and his men land on the island of the Cyclops extremely hungry and looking for food. He and his men carefully search the island despite the “....instant foreboding that we were gong to find ourselves face to face with some barbarous being of colossal strength and ferocity, uncivilized and unprincipled” (Homer;9;213;216). The Cyclops also known as Polyphemus returns home from tending his animals to find twelve strangers in his cave. He quickly returns the boulder back in the door way and begins asking the men who they are and where they came from. At first Polyphenus shows hospitality to them until Odysseus replies to him with a lie. Polyphenus is outraged and quickly grabs two of Odysseus’ men and bashes their brains out and begins to eat them. Odysseus and his men are terrified that such a horrific creature could do such a thing. He then realizes that will have to use their whits to get away from this creature not their brute strength. He then hardens a stick out of a piece of olive wood and hides it under some dung in the cave. When Polyphenus returns to the cave Odysseus then sets out to ...
Hercules despaired at this but was overjoyed because he would be serving a who at this current time in the world be lower in status and less popular to most people to him, but he knew he had to do it, for himself and everyone he just had to get through it, yet afraid to oppose his father Zeus. Which would be an even bigger crime and would ruin his whole life and everyone .Eventually he placed himself at Eurystheus's disposal, ready to face whatever and whenever he wanted him too. He did not have a good feeling about them.
Hercules was adventurous manly because of what he was sentenced to do. Hercules was driven mad by the goddess Hera, and in frenzy he killed his own children. To atone for his crime he was sentenced to perform a series of tasks or labors for his cousin Eurytheus, the king of Mycenae.
In Pietro Francisci’s 1958 film Hercules, the original Greek myth was incorrectly narrated. One of the most glaring differences was Hercules’ name; in the Greek myth his name was actually Heracles, with Hercules being his name in Latin. The film lost some creditability as an adaptation as outlined in the lesson by how the story of Heracles was unveiled specifically by the Twelve Labors of Heracles. However, most of the Twelve Labors of Heracles were not only absent from the film, but the two labors that were present were inaccurately told in comparison to the Greek myth. The labors that were left out of the film were: The Lernaean Hydra, The Cerynean Hind, The Erymanthian Boar, The Augean Stables, The Stymphalian Birds, The Mares of Diomedes, The Girdle of Hippolyta, The Cattle of Geryon, The Apples of the Hesperides, and Cerberus. The two labors that can be compared to the original Greek myth are the Nemean Lion and

Finally, Odysseus’ slaying of all his wife’s suitors display his great strength. Odysseus and Telemachus were able to kill the dozen suitors with the help of the gods. In these instances, Odysseus does actions which most men would find physically difficult, which only proves that strength is one of his heroic characteristics.
