Automotive manufacturing is the conversion of raw materials into finished products. It involves a variety of activities such as product design, material selection and handling, control and production, planning and procurement, inspection and quality, packaging, finance and sales. During the process, the key factors for an industry are its competitiveness and productivity over another industry which is command by the economy of manufacturer, the quickness and ease, of a quality product. These factors are important for any manufacturers who want to set their companies standards according to the increasing globalization of all aspects of product including mason, technology and market. Quickness, economy and quality in manufacturing in automotive manufacturing can be achieved by using automated machine. It is believed that it will reduce the human error using conventional machine and help in manufacturing complex automated parts and provide reliability and quality required for competitive manufacturing. While this thinking was not limited to a scope since fully automated factories uses hard automation system for manufacturing are not yet feasible due to practical, financial and cybernetic reasons. According to cybernetics point of view, complete automation is not suitable for any manufacturing organization. Instead its better From a cybernetics perspective also, it appears that complete automation will be a sub-optimal solution for manufacturing organizations, at least for the foreseeable future, when compared with production methods that involve humans, machines, and computers in an effective partnership (hybrid systems). Humans have been shown to be important components for system control, and for innovation, in manufacturing sys... ... middle of paper ... ... failure, only 650 failures recorded, which only covers 7.1% of the whole errors made by the workers or robots in the factory. This means high load level has 7.8 times increased risk or failure rate compare to low load level, and moderate load level obtained 5.3 times. Overall, there is a total of 9150 failure rate for 47 selected assembly tasks in the factory. Among all of the load levels, the low level has the lowest total action costs in the plant and in the market, with the value amounted up to 39,860.82 SEK, which only covers 6.6% of the overall loss. It is very significant in amount compared to moderate and high load level, where they loss an amount of 377,593.19 SEK (62.3%) and 188,715.93 SEK (31.1%) respectively. This proves that applying high human factors initiative would significantly reduce the loss amount of the company and hence profits the operators.
