learning is different for every child. People have numerous ways of interpretting information and understanding data. This of course leads to differing ways of teaching. The united States has recently fallen behind in the international education scene. On the Program for International Student Assessment ,an international test to quantify learning, America was ranked 14th in reading, 17th for science, and 25th for mathematics. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/07/us-falls-in-world-education-rankings_n_793185.html These findings have very significant consequences on the United States and its students. According to usgovernmentspending.com the states are currently three trillion dollars in debt. With this knowledge it seems rather foolish to add more expenditures to state budgets, but how much does America value education and is it a good investment. In order to know if its a good investment we must look at how it benefits not only the student, but also the teachers. http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/compare_state_spending_2014bZ0D
