It was a late Friday night, and no one was around. I was sitting in my old recliner texting my church’s Young Adults Pastor, Zach Bardsley, about the future group meeting we were to have that Sat. This Young Adults Ministry is new. Randomly, Zach informs me that he would like to give me the title of Outreach Coordinator. I had prior met with him informing him that if he was to ever need any assistance, I as the man to ask. So as being pretty involved in my church already, I was more than excited to tackle on this new responsibility. As I start collage in the ministry field, this will give me hands on experience. This will be a form of fellowship, and I am excited to grow. I will become better trained as a leader within the church because of this responsibility. This new title will have me working closely with all the six Pastors and leadership teams within my church. I will be put in leadership roles throughout my time as outreach coordinator. I will have a better understanding of how the church body works in evangelism. I will gain better knowledge of how to bring the community and church closer together. This will be a hands on opportunity for my education. I will be doing and practicing what I will be learning through my online classes. I will have more insight on what I am learning because I will be practicing that work within my church. I’ll be able to use this as any practicums that I may need. This experience and journey I am embarking will be very beneficial for my education. I have been blessed to be able to work side by side with Pastor Zach Bardsley with Lakeview Wesleyan Church as the Young Adults Outreach Coordinator.
