World War 2 was a very historic and dangerous moment in time that costed millions of lives. This global war began when Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939. Nazi Germany at the time had major goals that needed to be met, like having complete world order, and wiping out every single race other than a pure Aryan bloodline. In order to reach this goal, Nazi Germany tried to take over countries, and they also committed mass genocide to the Jewish people.
Some people think the swastika, a cross with four arms of equal length, with the ends of each arm bent at a right angle, was created by Nazi Germany, but it wasn’t. The swastika is actually an ancient symbol that is used in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. In the Western part of world, the swastika since the 1930’s has mostly been associated with the infamous flag of Nazi Germany and the Nazi Party. The swastika was also created 5,000 years before it was used by the Nazi Party, and the symbol represents “good fortune.”
What I want to know about the swastika is why many people think negatively about the swastika. I also want to know why Adolf Hitler used the swastika symbol in his Nazi Party, and what …show more content…

In this I-Search research report, I will attempt to show that the Swastika was not created by the Nazi party. The expected outcome of the research is to prove that the Swastika originates from Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Some things that I might discover along the way during my research might be where the Swastika first appeared, why the swastika is hated by millions of people, why Adolf Hitler used the swastika in his campaign to become powerful, why the swastika is important, and what inspired Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party to implement it as their flag.
