Why School Hours Should Be Shortened

Many people believe that school hours should be limited. Most teachers don’t think that, but they could take out some classes and extra activities to shorten school hours. I believe that schools should shorten classes or take out the classes that aren’t necessary. The school day seems way too long and kids get tired after one or two classes. I feel like there is a better solution to school days and how long they last. Long days put a lot of stress on students which is unnecessary because half of the students day is PE or art. I believe that school should take out those classes because it makes the day longer. Those types of classes or activities should be taken out of school because most don’t even want to take them, but they are required. It just makes the day longer and adds more stress to students that are worried about their classes that “count.” As the day goes on, you get more tired which makes you worried about an assignment if you were given one earlier in the day. Taking out the elective classes would help a lot of people and take off

Half of the time in class, students are doing nothing. Students are watching the walls or staring at the computer screen. Most students put their work off until they are home anyways. Making each class 20-30 minutes shorter would shorten the day a lot. Shortening each class to an hour rather than an hour and thirty minutes would make the day two hours shorter if you have four classes a day. I believe two hours shorter would be great and we could still have the elective classes. The teachers will give their lesson and then give time to work on it in class. We will not be able to watch the walls or stare at the screen with thirty less minutes. I believe this is better for the teachers and kids.
