Why School Days Should Be Shorter
School days should be shorter fro students because they do not get enough sleep, have to much homework, and have barley have time to participate in extra curricular activities. A majority of students have sleep depravation due to school. If school would either start or end late students will have a greater opportunity to get more sleep. Teachers expect students to pay attention for 90 minutes while the night before they were up late finishing their homework for there classes. Some teachers do not realize that students have a life and work or have other obligations that take up a major portion of the students.
Secondly, a shorter school would allow students to participate in extra curricular activities and
When in the course of human events, students should be entering school a little bit later than the usual. This will give the student more sleep time which then will allow the student to think better when in school. This will also help a student be fully awake and not be sleeping in class. Students will pay more attention and will be ready to learn. Waking up early and going to school early makes a student be sleepy in class. We the students should be getting a later start in school.
Do you think that students should have longer lunch and recess time? I think that kids need free time to talk to their friends and socialize. Kids also need enough time to exercise everyday to keep them focused and their energy level low. Another reason they need to have a longer lunch/recess is because kids need time to eat and shouldn’t be rushed at lunch.
School Should Begin Later in the Day Many teenage high school students are tired during the school day. distracting them from their studies. That is just one of the many good reasons. that the start time of school should be later in the day. Some people may say that the brain is not fully functional until 9:30 is just a matter of opinion.
Many kids in school argue that school should be shorter? Are they saying that because they don’t want to learn or do they say that because they actually have a good reason? But on the other hand, people think school should be longer. Here are some reasons that argue that the school day should be longer. To start off, kids are not academically prepared for the next grade. Since teachers don’t have a lot of time to go into depth on a subject, they have to shorten the lesson to get through all the subjects they need to for the day. This is impacting many students because they are struggling to understand the concept that the teacher is teaching. Sometimes kids get lazy and they don’t want to do their homework, so they just rush their work. Kids
There is multiple facts and reasons to have later start times help students get through the school day. BY helping students get better grades, test scores, and overall better. And teens these days aren't getting the sleep they need to wake up early and go to school. SO that is why school should have later start times. IF schools started later we wouldn't have all these tired and groggy students coming to school we would have students that are refreshed and ready to learn. We will have students that have good grades. We will have students who have better test scores. And we will have students with overall better performance.I what you right now pick up your phone and call your district and say we want later start
The reason I disagree with adding one and a half hours to school is because we get less time for
Most of us stay after school hours to get the help we need with our school work. After all the time spent on school and extracurricular activities, there is not enough time to finish homework and study for big tests. Thus, we rush through the homework, we learn the information insufficiently, and we get no value from it. If we shorten the school
Since no school is perfect, they can all be improved in some way. There are many great ideas that could change our school for the best. Numerous schools don’t have a great environment, but if more people consider students opinions, the schools might become better. To begin, students should have more of an option when it comes to classes. For example, they should get to choose what exploratories they want to take because students should get some time in the day to learn about a topic they are truly interested in.
Students feel sleepy almost everyday waking up around six in the morning just to be put behind a desk for hours. In addition to this, brings along students being tired which makes sense because a third of students admit to falling asleep on any school day. So why don't we start later? With the extra hour, attendance rates would go up along with the health of the students, as well as their grades and attitudes, and it would be just as good for teens as for the staff of the schools. Students aren’t at their full potential when they are sleep deprived. Hundreds of school have already changed their start times till later and has shown positives of it, so why shouldn't every school start
High school should be shorter. First, there would be more time to spend at home with all their family. Next, There would be more time to go to college and get a better job. After that, There would be more time to live life to the fullest. There would be more time to spend with all their families.
One reason is if you make the school day longer kids won’t have enough time with their family. Which mean not as many memories and fun times. Kids need to enjoy their childhood and spend time with their family as much as they can. When they grow up they won’t have as much time as they used to.
Schools are so much a part of our society, so the accurate length of school days is extremely important. Public opinions on the length of the school days are different. There are a lot of parents and professors concerned that it is hard for children to go to school early in the morning and stay there the whole day. On the other side, some professors try to force students into a nine hour school day. Not so many years ago, school was a main part of my life, and the school days’ structure and length affected my social life and ability to study. From my own experience and some studies that I have seen, students benefit if school days are long.
Why School Hours Should Be Shortened Many people believe that school hours should be limited. Most teachers don’t think that, but they could take out some classes and extra activities to shorten school hours. I believe that schools should shorten classes or take out the classes that aren’t necessary.
When people are asked about if school days or years should be longer or shorter, it will be a split between the two. Kids are more likely to say yes to shorter school to spend more time with friends, family, and time to get a better at a certain skill, while parents say their kids should be in school longer to establish their knowledge. Everyone’s focus is pushed towards making school days and school years longer, but why longer school years and days could be bad are never analyzed, such as the budget of a school. School years should be shorter to accommodate us because the budget is not big enough, the time is wasted and we don’t become substantially smarter because of it.
As the clock slowly ticks and all of the student’s are waiting for the day to be over; however, some kids still have 1-2 hours of school left. For those students who are still sitting in school, they may be getting taught a little more, it’s just harming our bodies and minds. While there has been a long disagreement about school being longer, it is my position that school days should not be lengthened. Some reasons for this include that it costs more, it gives students and teachers less time to do other activities, and student would not get as much sleep as necessary.
