Are there any circumstances under which it is okay to kill someone?
Sandy Hoodmin once said, “Our culture has become so numb to violence and death. We don't understand that when we kill someone, we are TAKING THEIR LIFE. It doesn't mean enough in this society. Killing is never, ever necessary.” This quote is relevant because to me, killing is never the option. Why would anyone even want to kill a human being just like them? God didn’t put us on this earth for everyone to murder each other. The reasons I believe killing is wrong is because they have just as much right to live as the next person, there’s always a circumstance, and what type of person that makes someone.
Everyone has just as much right to live as the next person, right? There are so many people in this world that just kill for no reason whatsoever. Shootings in schools, gangs on the street, just random citizens getting shot when they haven’t even done anything wrong. That’s why this world is a terrible place in my eyes. Even in war, everyone is the same life as the other. Everyone is the same when they put on that camouflage suit. Everyone is the same when they put on their everyday clothes also. Whether someone is popular, unsocial, rich, poor it doesn't matter. Each person on this planet has the right to live. Why end their life early?

The law regarding murder is very complex. First degree murder, felony murder, it’s practically all the same. It’s still taking someone's life away for your end of the matter. Why would someone want to serve time for making a mistake that they could have prevented? There’s many different ways states can determine the consequences for killing someone, but they are all not very pretty. There can never be that difficult of a situation where someone has the mindset of killing another human
Majority of people would say that killing an innocent person is horrible. People say killing someone is wrong no matter what. Though it depends what the reason is for. For instance, if someone is a murderer, than they should be put in jail as soon as possible. If someone innocent is causing too much trouble, than get their families permission
This is a controversial statement most will argue about. For many people it is wrong to kill no matter the circumstance for it is going against many of their own morals. An example would be their religion which states in the bible “Thou shall not kill”, but they themselves have killed for their own needs therefore
Is killing someone ok? No. Is saving a life ok? Yes. Is defending your life ok?
I argue that it is in fact morally permissible to kill one innocent person to save the lives of many, I say this because the survival of the human race is now, and has always been the purpose of mankind on earth, and morality itself is constructed around achieving that goal. Human philosophy is always centered around the survival and happiness of humanity. Even religious philosophy is centered around those eventual goals. Arguments arise in the approach to achieving the goal, not the stated goal of happiness and survival of our species itself.
The purpose of the death penalty is to spare future victims of murder by carrying out the threat of execution upon convicted murderers. The death penalty punishes them not for what they may or may not do in the future but what they have already done. It's unclear that the murderer has the same right to live as their victim. Thomas Geraghty states “opinion polls report that more than 70% of Americans do not favor the death penalty for murder.

Would you say that it’s ever moral to kill an innocent person? What do you consider a living person? When their heart has a beat, when they’re breathing? After a lady is pregnant for five weeks their baby 's heart has started to tick, though you can’t
Capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, is defined as the pre-meditated or planned taking of a human life by a government in response to a crime committed by that legally convicted person. It has been discussed extensively over the years by many people. There are many reasons to agree or disagree with capital punishment, but the reasons against it completely outweigh the ones that support it. Many of the justifications for affirming the death penalty either do not apply wholly to our justice system, are misunderstood, or just do not make sense. There is no justification for killing other human beings and all of the arguments cannot change this. Since 1976, over one thousand people have been executed by the government.
if someone kills somebody, we should kill them? Today, there is a large controversy over the

According to deathpenatlyinfo.org, currently there are 32 states with the death penalty and 18 states without the death penalty. Society has always punished people for doing unlawful actions. Being that murder is the most in the highest interest of preventing, the strongest punishment available, the death penalty, is used. People may think when states sentence murderers to death that it would prevent future murderers from doing the same actions, seeing that they will receive the same punishment. Deathpenaltycurriculum.org reports, “Moreover, even if some studies regarding deterrence are inconclusive, that is only because the death penalty is rarely used and takes years before an execution is actually carried out”.
...d the crime in some states. This is because some states in the United States do not have the death penalty but have the life sentence. This can also be for different countries. For instance, if someone in one country or state gets sentenced to the death penalty, but then someone who committed about the same crime in another country or state gets a life sentence. One man in one country or state has to die while the other in the other country or state gets to live. Finally, the death penalty is unreliable and not properly used because most trials have some serious errors. A statistic by Columbia University Law School says that two thirds of all capital trials had some major errors. It also stated that after the cases retired, over 80% of the defendants were not given the death sentence and only 7% were completely free (“Innocence (In Opposition to the Death Penalty)”).
Some might be surprised to realize, “When comparisons are made between states with the death penalty and states without, the majority of death penalty states show murder rates higher than non-death penalty states” (Death Penalty Information 3). Sources show that states with the death penalty have higher murder rates than those without the death. There are many more types of consequences that could have a larger effect on someone than the death penalty. Having a longer sentence and spending the rest of your life in prison could arguably be scarier than being executed. The Death Penalty is not an effective method for criminals. According to a study conducted by the Death Penalty Information Center, “Nearly 78% of those surveyed said that having
Many people argue that God is the only one with the right to take away our life. That he was the one that gave it to us and therefore no human should be allowed to decide over someone else’s life. Well, do they stop to think that the killers didn’t care at all that they didn’t have the right to kill the victim? Rarely a killer stops to think before striking. They kill with no mercy, not caring if the victim as a wife or children to support. It is obvious that the killer don’t think that God is the only one with the right to take away life, so let the people use that same right against them and put an end to the senseless killing.
Some people prefer to give the murder life in prison. Others argue that the punishment does not out the crime. In support of their position, they point the fact that many prisoners do not serve their full sentence. Some prisoners even live very comfortable. Thus burdening taxpayers with the cost of their incarceration some people feel that it is ok and others feel that criminals live in prison off of other people's hard money.
