Although most people may consider pursing a degree in education has several negative features, I think teaching is an astonishing thing because I will be able to motivate, inspire and educate my future students.
A teacher prepare children for high levels of education by teaching them certain subjects as they progress through school. I am interested in teaching early childhood because that is the age group that is more eager to learn. If I am teaching pre-k through 2nd grade I will be able to have more of an impact in their life. However, if I am educating middle through high school it will be challenging for me to teach because most of them will assume school is a waste of time or they already comprehend everything. My students will be able to see me as this hero that is going to be there for them all the time and, also someone that is teaching them many new things. I want to be the one other than my student’s family to alter their life in a positive way so that I can have some identification that I am doing my job right. I will also be able to encourage my students continually and encourage them to strive for their dreams. As their teacher it will be my main goal to elevate them back up while they are down. Therefore, the skills needed to be an educator is to have amazing communication skills because I will have to communicate efficiently with: my students, parents, coworkers, and other positions higher than me. Communication is the key to success because without it everyone will be lost. I have great communication skills because I love interacting with people especially children.
