Why does a college education matter? Having a college education will most likely get someone more opportunities to succeed in life. Also it’s like getting picked up and put in the outer world and having to do things on their own . Therefore, college is valuable because one could earn more money, have better health, and will eventually grow someone closer to their family. To begin with, a college graduate will earn more money than a high school alumni. For instance, Obama has once said that, “you become more advanced at the things you work at.” He also declares that someone will more likely get a better job opportunity for having a college education (Obama).Not only do people get a better job opportunity but people could eventually get more hours to work and get paid more than the job has in stored for them depending on what career they have. According to “Five Ways Ed Pays” College alumni could possibly get 63% more hourly wages. Having 63% hourly wages, college students could earn more than a high school grad. Declaring that if one was to get a college education they will more than likely have better health than a high school student.
