Have you ever failed before? It’s safe to say everyone has failed at some in life at some point of another. Many people have even failed at something multiple times. However in college applications there seems to be a constant need to be perfect. On the contrary professors from extremely high-level colleges are saying quite the opposite. Students need to be honest about their failures in their past on their college applications. Shockley enough this can give students a better chance in getting into college. Firstly, there is evidence that admistors know when an application is too good to be completely true. Secondly, when a student has failed at some point in their education admission officers know they have what it takes to thrive in a college environment. Lastly,admission officers are humans too and they know that perfect will never truly exist in the real world. Therefore, these stories of falling down and getting back up let them know the student has what it takes to try again when they fail. They do silly things,mess up,fall down,and lack confidence. Wildly proving my in point in which admission officers know teenagers mess up in high school.
