Why Do Pyramus And Thisbe Commit Suicide

People may have accidents that could end up in death and they may blame it on destiny, but in reality, it’s that person's fault because they made the choice to do whatever they did. This includes Romeo, Juliet, Pyramus, and Thisbe. They all made choices that led to them running away and committing suicide. People have chosen paths that led to these things, but those choices could have been different, or prevented, but it was their choice and they chose that path. This includes falling in love and kissing after three seconds.
Though there are a multiple of complex, confusing reasons as to why the suicides in these infamous stories are idiotic and densely foolish, and are based on fate, there are reasons -- other reasons -- as to why Romeo, Juliet, Pyramus and Thisbe all committed suicide due to their own personal life choices. “‘Your own hand killed you,’ she said, ‘and your love for me. I too can be brave. I too can love’” (Ovid 489). This quotation represents that Pyramus killed himself and Thisbe blames herself, and that Thisbe plans to “be brave” on her own accord. They also chose to get together in secrecy, so their parents wouldn’t find out. Romeo and Juliet actually chose to marry each other, of all things, and not even run away; “Juliet. What satisfaction canst thou have tonight? Romeo. The exchange of thy love’s faithful vow for mine” (Shakespeare 407). Pyramus and Thisbe were about as radical in their choices, but came up with a different plan, which was running away; “They decided that that very night they would try to slip away and steal out through the city into the open country where at last they could be together” (Ovid 488).
