Many people were responsible for the death of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo, and Juliet, however, Capulet was the one most responsible for this tragedy. He was most responsible because Montague and he were having a big feud with each other and their families, he fixes Juliet’s marriage to Paris, and also because he moves the marriage up a day. These were major reasons that led up to the death of Romeo and Juliet. Capulet and Montague have been feuding for years and dragging their entire family into the fight with them. Fights between the Capulet and the Montague have been a major reason for deaths in Verona. Not only they make their servants fight, they even personally engage in duels. Later in the play, Tybalt slew Mercutio for the honor of his family, which forced Romeo to get a revenge for his fallen friend Mercutio. Which ultimately resulted in Romeo’s banishment and separated the two lovers. Additionally, the feud was also the main reason why Romeo and Juliet never told their families about their love and had to go down a dangerous road filled with overwhelming obstacles. …show more content…

When Juliet was facing high stress and depression, Capulet decided that it will be a good idea if he made Juliet marry Paris. However it ends up making Juliet’s mental state worst, it gives her, even more, reasons for stress and puts her in a deeper depression. Also, when Juliet refuses to get married to him, both he and lady Capulet abuse Juliet verbally and physically. They even take it too far by saying things and doing stuff no parent should ever do to their child. At that point, Juliet could no longer maintain herself and decide to go the friar and seek wisdom. The friar at that point could only think of one dangerous solution. Juliet decided to risk her life and perform a dangerous, life risking plan, to visit and return from the dead to meet his beloved
