weight lifting is a very good way to get stronger. As well as a way to stay healthy as long as you do it right with good form and positioning. It’s good for people to lift some weight for sports and other physical competition. Most people that do weight lifting are athletes or people that are trying for the better healthy lifestyle.
When is the best time to start lifting ? A round puberty, or 13-14 years of age, is a typical mark for youngsters to start lifting weights. I have trained kids from ages 9-12 in simple strength training like resistance bands, light free weights, and bodyweight exercises. Ages 15-16 is where they will experience the more traditional set of exercises like bench press and overhead squat from there P.E. coach in high school. Keep the weight light with high reps. Knee wraps/sleeves are used to help support your knees for squat and deadlift or any exercise using your knees and legs and some of them help you lift more weight. They don't just help you lift they support your knee so where if you didn't have them on and you were doing leg presses and your knee buckles, but is for did have them on and did it and your knee tried to buckle it would just keep it straight or make it bend the other way.Wrist wraps are used to support your wrist and keep them straight so where you don’t hurt your wrist lifting heavy. Weightlifting belt are used to support your back so where you don’t get a really bad back injury normally use when lifting heavy weight. Wrist barbell straps are used to help you grip the barbell and protect your hands from getting tore up. Dip belt is used for dips or pull up to add weight to make them more challenging
