Makeup Forms & Its Uses Over the last five years, I have been collecting makeup. Over these years, I have discovered all of the different types of makeup and the different uses for it. In this essay, I will be informing my audience of the benefits of different kinds of makeup as well as their uses. Makeup has many different purposes, and large companies like Sephora, divide these makeup products into different categories that concern individual needs. Some are made specifically to make your lashes longer, while other are made to make them thicker, or fuller. Mascara tubes come with a brush inside of it, that is dipped into the mascara formula and then applied to your eyelashes. All mascaras are a thicker liquid formula. Some mascaras even come with fibers to apply before the actual mascara that help to lengthen the appearance of your eyelashes. Another addition to the eyelash section is false lashes. People will buy fake eyelashes, trim, and glue them onto their real ones for a fuller and more flawless look. Eyelash glue is made and a thin layer is applied on the lash line of the false lash and stuck onto the real one. Almost all fake eyelashes come in black, but their thickness and length can differ. We conducted our research of this category by magazine, newspaper, Internet, and over the counter knowledge. During research we found that Lancôme, Estee Lauder, and Clinique were the top-selling prestige facial makeup brands in the United States. Foundation is normally put on larger areas. Women can use concealers by itself or with foundations. Concealers are available from the lightest and deepest shades. Women have a tendency to choose shades lighter than their skin tone to hide blemishes and dark circles under the eye. Some of the colors give the natural skin tone, while others are used to contrast with a blemish. Concealers that have yellow undertones hide dark circles.
