What is engineering? It’s a combination of both fields science and math they try to make the world a better place for us (they constructed roads and build buildings.. etc.). What engineers do? They design system, material and structures with consideration of the cost and safety. Engineers solve problems, problems are the engineer’s inspirations, and math and science are the creative tools they use to solve them. Engineer is the ultimate field for challenge and creativity, engineers from different fields work as a team to produce something useful for people for example airplanes. Their job is to develop and design computer system and other technological devices. Computer engineering concentrates on the way its computing ideas and mapped into working physical system. Computer engineers are trained in electrical engineering and hardware-software integration and software design. Therefor computer engineers have proficiency in electrical engineering and software design. Here are some branches of computer engineering: network, multimedia computing, VLSI system, reliable computing and advanced architectures.
Here are few things computer engineer’s do :
• Improve Internet security to make it safe to buy things from internet and protect your information
• Design faster processors to help make HDTV and 3-D TV watching and video gaming experiences better
• Develop biomedical systems to help monitor patients in the hospital
• Administer sensor network to make robots more like humans
• Create a cleaver power grid that will help in transferring energy to households across the country

In my point of view I can see that university of sharjah ece curriculum is following the new trends of engineering education. They provided for us the best labs that are filled with the latest tools and equipment and technology. The also provided for us a book that contains information about the newest engineer fields and gave us an idea about engineering. I feel that this coarse will help me increase many of my skills such as teamwork.

Of course every job have requirements, you can’t apply for a job without having skills or not knowing the requirements for the job. Engineering have technical and non-technical requirements.
First I will talk about some of the technical requirements:

1. Discretion is required as engineers, they must keep secret information about a new design.
2. You must be a very hard and skilled worker to be able to design computers and networks.
3. Engineer must update his knowledge continuously because technology tends to change very rapidly.
4. You must have great knowledge in basic science “physics” and mathematics in order to be
