Many people were killed in the Holocaust. People were judged. People were prisoners. Be glad we were not those people. In 1934 to 1945, the Holocaust started and ended. In both of the stories, Adolf Hitler blamed the Jews for the loss of World War I. So, he sent all the soldiers to go find Jews and put them in concentration camps and kill them. The holocaust was the murder of millions of people, mostly Jews, during World War II. There were many problems in Germany at that time like, there weren’t many jobs to go around. The Jews were shot, tortured, beaten, starved, and worked to death.

In the article, The Holocaust: A Story of Survival, there was a kid named Ferenc. A person who saved many Jews from getting killed. He gave them fake IDs, money, and shelter. In the other article, Children of the Holocaust, there was another kid named Tibor Sands. One day, he was lined up against a wall and was about to be shot. His crime was for being a Jewish person. I bet he felt like he was going to die. Until, one person let him go. By March 1944, Hitler controlled Hungary through a puppet government. Many people were killed in the streets. Between 1933 and 1945, 9 million Jews were murdered in what came to be the Holocaust. About 1 million people were children.

Many Jews were shot and thrown into mass graves, or herded into gas chambers at death camps. All of them were killed because of Hitler. The Holocaust also consumed other groups of people that Hitler saw as inferior or dangerous, including Poles, Gypsies, Communists, the disabled, and Catholic priests. People have told their stories about the Holocaust. I feel so bad for the people that were in the Holocaust. What these authors are trying to say that you should always fight for what you believe in.
