The Holocaust ended 70 years ago, it involved over 11 million deaths. Hitler blamed all Jews for everything wrong with Germany. The Holocaust was the mass murder of six million Jews and millions of others by the Nazis. They were taken to concentration camps where they were treated like animals. Before the concentration camps, their human rights were taken, and also making them wear gold stars to identify the Jews better and faster. The Jews were taken from camp to camp until they finally arrived to the deadliest camp of them all, Auschwitz. The Holocaust also lasted 12 years from January of 1933 to May 8 of 1945. Wiesel saw so many bodies being burned in furnaces and he also saw people getting shot and thrown in pits that were dug by them. There was too many deaths caused. Only so little people survived from this tragic event. About 100,000 survived from the 11 million dead. Many Holocaust survivors today are still living and most of them are deceased. There was to many deaths during The Holocaust, this is why we should not let this happen again. My 2nd reason Is the Jews were innocent. ¨Twenty bodies were thrown out of our wagon¨(Weisel, 73). The people were in the wagon were innocent because when they were transporting them, there was 100 men in one wagon, but they only arrived at Auschwitz with 12 men. The only reason for this tragedy was the convincing Hitler did to his people in Germany. His convincing was really good people right away started to hate the Jews and the others killed.
