#2. What does volunteering mean to you?
Volunteering not just benefits the organization, the volunteer also gain knowledge from volunteering. Helping others in the community brings happiness to me. This is why I would love to volunteer at the Methodist Hospital. It is a way to explore my passion. I think volunteering is an opportunity to learn from the best people and to achieve and do more than what I think it’s possible, it also offers experiences which is a privilege to me.

#3. Why do you believe it’s important to be a reliable volunteer and how does attendance affect this?
It’s important to be a reliable volunteer because then the employees at the hospital will trust and rely on me. If a volunteer is not reliable, that will cause many troubles in the hospital. Attendance definitely affects this because it shows how much I care and respect about this opportunity. By getting there on time, it shows that I value other volunteer or employee’s time and that I am a responsible, trustworthy, and mature person.

First, I value my friendship and family the most. Especially my mother. She works hard every single day to make my life easier. My mom is a really encouraging person, which is why she has the greatest impact in my life. She is very supportive, and she motivates me to do my best in everything. My friends are very positive and supportive as well. Second, cross country is another main meaning in my life. Running cross country is not just exercising, but I get to bond with others and learn from upperclassmen. Sometimes I’m exhausted and tired from it, but the accomplishment afterward is very rewarding.
