To do this I needed to use the software Microsoft Excel 2003 as it was easier to use than other software products. After this the outstanding balance would be worked out, and any pupil who has an outstanding balance to be highlighted with a different colour, as shown in the screenshot below.
To work out the values and other functions such as average and total I needed to use certain functions and formulae to do this. This was done by going to the function tool and choosing which function I needed to use whether it be SUM, MAX, MIN or AVERAGE these could all be done by selecting the cell and clicking which function I needed and automatically it allowed me to choose which cells I wanted and automatically worked out the value.
The screenshot below shows the formulae being shown and each of the formulae used.
Absolute Cell Reference
In the outstanding balance column I used absolute cell references (for £500) which by using a dollar sign to represent this value as well as other functions.

The composition begins with a grid to create an asymmetrical organization of the elements used. Not only is it eye appealing but it makes the information clear and easy to read. San-serif fonts were also used within the grid design because it is the most legible and good for structuring the information. Josef Müller-Brockmann work “das freundliche Handzeichen” shows characteristics of the International Typographic Style. When looking at it you can quickly see the photo of the hand has hierarchy over the text. The placement of the hand gives movement because it is going off the page. He also uses a limited color pallet which is less distracting. Müller-Brockmann does well with using the grid for the placement of his text. As can been seen in the work, the text running down the left fits in-between his thumb and pointer finger with is visually appealing. Also the way the black and white fingers overlay with the color image makes it merge together rather than just one image on top of another. In like manner, artist Armin Hofmann’s poster shows similar characteristics to Josef Müller-Brockmann. This composition has the same text on the left side along the image, using the grid. Hofmann doesn 't use color so it 's strictly positive and negative space. The dancer in the back is softer than the typography so it gives a good
Initially, this typeface was difficult to read beacuse each letter was set in place individually and had to fit tightly in an allocated space. The art of manuscript writing, whose origin was during Hellenistic and Roman bookmaking, reached its Zenith in the illuminated manuscript of the middle ages. Every transaction gets entered twice in financial records. If one day you sold three gold coins ' worth of pepper, you would write that the amount of cash you had went up by three gold coins. You would also write in that the amount of pepper you had went down by three gold coins ' worth. Before double-entry, people just kept diaries and counted their money at the end of the day. This innovation allowed merchants to see every aspect of their business in neat little rows. (Kestenbaum,

Thousands of years ago this information was engraved in rocks, books and other ways, but it was very hard to keep record and access the accounts as the system becomes complex. Before, people had to look for financial records in rooms or places where they stored this information, it was time consuming and not efficient. (Bellis, 2013)
