Track and Field Day is my favorite day of the school year, besides the last day of school. First of all, it means that summer vacation is getting close! My birthday is in the summer, and summer is my favorite season. I like school, but I have more fun when I get to stay home with my mom and my brother, Andreas, and my sister, Anjalie. Secondly, it means that I can win ribbons if I do well, and if I do well, my mom and dad will be proud of me. If you get a ribbon in an event, that means you are the best, and I want to be the best at everything. Hopefully, if I try my best, my first grade Track and Field Day will be successful, and I will be able to bring home some ribbons. I can’t remember how far I threw the ball, but I got a blue first place ribbon! I am the best at the baseball throw! Immediately following, I competed in the relay. My relay team is called the Cheetahs. I know that cheetahs are fast, so we must be the fastest team! I was the last person on my team to run, so when the baton got to me, I sprinted with all I could. I could hear someone breathing behind me, and I kicked it into high gear as I neared the finish line. Our team won! Another first place ribbon for me! Once the relay was done, I jogged over to the football field for the sprinting race. I chose to run in the 200 meter dash.
