Everyday we are consuming Genetically Modified foods whether we know it or not. You are probably eating something this very minute that has been modified in some way. Our country has been doing this to our food for sometime, helping farmers along with the American people benefit from this change. Although many shut down this movement the pros seem to outweigh the cons making GM foods something that will help us along with the rest of the world.
Genetically Modified foods were created for many reasons. Since the 1990’s scientists have been creating this superpower food to aid farmers in many ways as well as the American people. A Genetically Modified food is as simple as this; they are foods that have been altered in their DNA in a lab making them a “super food.” With GM foods we can harvest crops through drought, diminishing soil, amongst other things that would not allow a harvest in crops.
