Once every four years, there is a vote for president by U.S. citizens. U.S. citizens determine who they want to vote for by watching debates, looking online, and reading newspapers. There are three main political parties, the Democrats, the Republicans, and the Independents. Democrats are liberal, meaning they like to stick with traditional ideas and are cautious about change. Bernie Sanders would be an amazing next president. He is a Democrat. He served in the House of Representatives for 16 years and has been the U.S. senator for Vermont since 2007 (Russell). Bernie Sanders would be the best next president because of his stance on education, the environment, and health care. Bernie Sanders would be a great president because of his stance on education. Bernie Sanders wants to cut state college tuitions by 55% (Sanders). He believes the U.S. needs to reform student loans (Sullivan). He also wants to have free college tuition at state colleges for two years (Sanders). Not only does Bernie Sanders believe that education is important but, also that our environment needs a lot of help.
