Have you ever wanted something so bad, but you couldn’t see yourself getting it? Well that has pretty much been my life. When my mother was a child she lived in town, where you couldn’t walk outside of your door without seeing something done illegally. Whether it be the next biggest homicide, or drugs being transported in and out of a house. From then on she knew the life she wanted for her kids and it wasn’t the life she currently lived. My mother had me at the age of sixteen, so until she had a stable income we lived with my grandparents. I believe one of the biggest problems inside of society today would have to be materialism. Materialism is defined as a tendency to consider material possessions and physical comfort as more important than spiritual values. Eventually becoming the thought that material possessions influence happiness. The reliability of these objects are usually unrealistic aspirations. Society views objects as a necessity, rather than the importance of life itself.
