In the story of a Child Slave” by Anne Capeci and “The Fight Against Child Slavery”,by Charlotte Lytton the main focus is James Kofi Annan.Both authors discuss child slavery in Ghana.James Kofi Annan believes that child slavery is wrong and he was working hard to advocate for children's rights.

By age 6, Annan was sold into child slavery.For example, he worked on a fishing boat 17 hours a day.Annan might get yelled at,beaten,or thrown in a lake.Annan had tried to escape,but he is always getting caught and beaten.Annan only eats one meal a day and he’s still hungry and thirsty.Annan had struggled on his work because he is scared to get punished.Annan was so desperate to get an education because he hasn't been in school for a while.

Equiano had no idea where these people were taking him and they didn’t stop once until nightfall where they stayed until dawn. He tells us about how they traveled for many days and nights not having any clue where they were going or when they would get there. He is not satisfied with half truths, which seem to fly at him, especially from those who did the abusing he was talking about, he does his research well and I appreciated that while reading this book.
