State the Problem- We want to find out which material would insulate the cup the most.

Hypothesis- If we use the felt material to insulate the cup, then the hot beverage in the cup would stay warm longer than the others.

Identifying the Independent Variable- The independent(manipulated) variable was the material used to insulate the cup.(Aluminum foil, felt, and wax paper)

Identifying the Dependent Variable- The dependent variable, or the variable that changes, was the changing heat of the beverage.

Identifying the Controlled Variable- The controlled variable was the cup without any material to insulate it.

Procedure-
Wrap each cup with different materials.
Fill half of each cup with hot water.
