The Carbon Cycle
Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are important in the cycle of energy to withstand life as we define it. Cellular respiration and photosynthesis have several stages in where the making of energy occurs, and have diverse relationships with organelles within the eukaryotic cell. These processes are central in how life has evolved.
Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are the two most important processes that animal and plant cells supply themselves with energy to carry out their life cycles. Cellular respiration takes glucose molecules and combines it with oxygen. This energy results in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), with carbon dioxide and water that results in a waste product. We depend on plants to obtain our oxygen. Plants produce glucose that assists in its living and growing and we contribute by releasing carbon dioxide. In order for us to live, we need the oxygen that plants produce by making glucose.
Scientific Facts about Global Warming
Many scientist believe that the current warming trend is significant because, much of it has been caused by human activities. Satellites orbiting the earth and other technological equipment enables scientists to see and collect various information about our planets climate. Scientists have studied this collected information and has revealed the many changes of our planet and how these changes are effecting our climate, a few of them are:
• Ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica show that our climate does respond to changes in greenhouse gas levels. It also shows that changes happen quickly (years).
