Teen activists are the cement to a building. With out cement (the activist) the thebuilding(the problem in socity) would colaps and have no support. A teen activist is a teenager who finds an issue that affects them or people around them and they strive to fix it. These young adults are the leaders of today’s society become they are trying and striving to build a better tomorrow. They might be driven to help by many different motives or ideas but they are helping some of the most common motives are past life events, the people around them and to help others. She was bullied in her life and online so she made a website showing how much it hurts to be bullied especially online. In one of the post she says 1 in 10 kids tell their parents that they are getting cyberbullied and ‘Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, per the CDC.’ ‘Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, per studies by Yale University.’ ‘A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying.’ ‘10 to 14-year-old girls may be at even higher risk for suicide, per the study above.’ ‘Per statistics reported by ABC News, nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying.’ Says the bullystatistic.org website this is a real issue so Emily-Anna stood up and want to make sure that no other people feel or get put in the same situation as her. She has requested to make a harassment button on Facebook so cyberbullying is in the victims hands to report. Craig Kielburger, one morning he was scanning the newspaper to find the comic strips and came across the article on Iqbal Masih death for standing up for his freedom and human rights. Iqbal Masih born in 1983, Muridke, Pakistan with two lovely, supportive parents that need money, Saif Masih, Inayat Bibi. Iqbal Masih was assonated on April 16, 1995. Craig Kielburger was inspired by this heart-breaking story and his brother and him started a commune to help child slaves and their family’s so they don’t have to go back to being a slave. “I won't give up until the exploitation of all children has ended and all children have their rights.” Is a quote by Craig Kielburger showing his determination. This motive is inspired by others and people around him. Iqbal Masih inspired Craig and many more people. This shows that people like Craig Kielburger care about what others are trying to say and even though it won’t affect him in any way he still
