This is a paper on the Case Study that was presented to the class on 10/10/15 from the Woman’s Resource Center. This paper will include an introduction of my thoughts on the Woman’s Resource Center’s website and the informational pamphlet that was handed out to the class. Also included is a highlighted assessment of the case and intervention sills needed to be an effective practioner. After viewing the Woman’s Resource Center website one thing that kept coming back to me over and over again was the escape from this page button at the top. While I like this feature on the page and think it should be a part of the page, I was concerned about the fact you could just hit the return to prior page arrow at the top and go right back to the page. This is concerning, as it becomes an easy way to get caught looking at the website by an abuser. I did find the survivor stories on the web page enlightening. I think too …show more content…

For example, when Mary was reported to not have any food for her children, keeping her children safe became the more important goal to work on at that time. Finally, an intervention skill that all social workers need is the ability to seek supervision and accept feedback from their supervisor. For me, at times, this is a skill that is needed to be worked on. I often forget to seek supervision when I am having difficulty knowing what to do next to best help my clients, as my supervisor is not readily available. This is a skill I defiantly need to get better at as my supervisor is very knowledgeable and a great resource. In the case study of Mary, many different action plans could be taken involving the Woman’s Resource Center. They have many services available and I am happy to be able to better understand their services and be have looking into what services may be in my area that could better serve my
