The use of technology specifically around the internet and social media, there has been creation of fundraising tools, data management, and far reaching forums have changes how social work practitioners advocate and support change (Goldkind, 2014). In order to remain pertinent, the strategies and tools must evolve along with society for those that are disenfranchised and need assistance. Although there is much discussion over the indirect and division that technology brings, there should be more support for the direct and furthering of advocacy agendas (Goldkind, 2014).
