Definition and description: "According to Linton, society is a group of human beings cooperating in the pursuit of their several major interests, invariably, including self-maintenance and self-realization." Society is a name given to social relationships by which every human being is interconnected with each other but society is not limited to human relationships alone, man depends upon society for fulfillment of its numerous need as love, care, protection, opportunity for education, learning and mental development. It is an organization or a group of people who have lived together long enough to become organized and consider themselves a unit more or less distinct from other human units.

Cultural heritage: It is the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society that are inherited from past generations. Cultural Heritage is an expression of the ways of living developed by a community and passed on from generation to generation, including customs, practices, places, objects, artistic expressions and values. In society people are united by common political and cultural traditions, beliefs and values because without being the member of a society, you are unable to lead a satisfactory life. So cultural heritage is an important tool for a society.
