In "Insurgent" the people in the society are split into factions based on personality traits and mental or physical skills. In the Holocaust, Hitler attempted to separate the society apart based on race. In the real world people disagreed with Hitler's plan and took action against it. The same is in the book as people did not agree with the way the dystopia was set up and overthrew the controlling system. Adolf Hitler attempted to create a utopia but creates a dystopian society similar to the one in "Insurgent". One similarity between the Holocaust and the society in Insurgent is that in both instances the people are categorized and separated in a certain way. In the Holocaust Adolf Hitler separated the people of Europe based on what race, religion, or sexuality they were. In the book, Insurgent, the society is split into different factions, Amity, Erudite, Dauntless, Candor, and Abnegation. The people put into these factions were categorized based on how they think, physical and mental capabilities, and personality traits. In the book one faction briefly took control of all the others but Adolf Hitler imperialized most of Eastern Europe. When Adolf Hitler attempted to control the world, multiple other countries stepped in to stop him and save the lives of the people he had enslaved. They allied forces obviously succeeded in stopping Hitler from creating his idea of a utopian society and ultimately, destroying the world. On the other hand, Jeanine, the woman who attempts to seize control of the society in Insurgent, also faced fierce opposition. Just like in WWII, an army was raised to stop her from destroying everything and potentially killing thousands. Towards the end of the book, Jeanine died just like Adolf
