Should performance enhancing drugs be accepted in sports ? No, in my opinion, I think that is an easy way out of hard work and a way of cheating. Athletes use different kinds of drugs to improve their competitiveness and performances. Blood doping, stimulants, human growth hormone (HGH), and most commonly steroids are drugs used in sports. Many people that have the body that they have today worked hard every day for hours in exercising to get fit and to have the body that they always have wanted. Meanwhile, in the other hand, other people decide to go on the easy way out and insert drugs in themselves to build up faster and increase their ability in sports. I strongly disagree with the use of drugs in sports because, it's unhealthy, a way of cheating, and addictive. Enhancing drugs should be prohibited because they can potentially be damaging the health of those taking them. “ these drugs, however, can be extremely dangerous and, in certain situations, deadly” (USADA center) says. “ Of Course that doesn't stop doctors from prescribing them …show more content…

Others have enhanced it too much to the point where they are addicted to steroids. Researchers found that individuals who abused steroids can experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop taking the drug, such as mood swings, fatigue, loss of appetite, reduced sex drive and steroid cravings. “ the most dangerous of the withdrawal symptoms is depression, because it sometimes leads to suicide attempts” (medicinenet). There are many causes and effects on how addictive this drug can be. For example, if a basketball player has no more of the steroids and has to play without it , it can affect him or her and start feeling different to the point where they can panic and lose control and can cause to get a serious injury.Abusers don't realize how harmful this drug can be until it can lead them to serious health conditions or possibly
