Should Cell Phones Be Allowed In School?

Should cell phones be allowed to be used in school? Some people think that shouldn’t be allowed in school because students get distracted while others believe it should be allowed in school because in case of an emergency. I think that it should be because they can use cell for emergency phones, using them for education proposes, for communication with their parents and their friends.
First, I think that it should be allowed in school because the students can use them in an emergency. In conclusion, using cell phones at school is a good thing and should be allowed at school. The reason is cell phones should be allowed because it is a good way to communicate with friends and parents in case of plans to do after school or change of plans if something comes up.
