Recommended: The main idea of salvation

The idea that salvation is a free gift of grace is essential to living as a good Christian. Salvation is the idea of avoiding the punishments for sin by believing and having faith in Christ. According to Christians, if you have the necessary faith than you will be in salvation and be fine. There are many places in Christianity that this idea is brought up and put to good use. For example, in a short excerpt from St. Thomas Aquinas he states how as long as you love god than he is a part of you. This shows that it does not matter whether you really have faith or not, as a Christian you will have salvation, as god is a part of you. God is an all good being who does not wish harm upon anyone. This is a religion which preaches the essence of living as being the best person you can be and believing in God and Christ. Therefore, the idea that salvation is a free gift of grace from god seems to make a lot of sense. Because the god of such a religion would want to give his people the best chance of succeeding and reaching their potential. There are many other places which discuss and deal with this concept. For example, in Luke, 1.7-80, it speaks about how Zechariah went into the holy temple to offer incense to god, and the angel Gabriel was standing in there. Zechariah became frightened as no one was supposed to be in there, however, the angel assured him that everything was okay, and that he was there as god wanted to answer their prayers. The fact that god sent an angel down to calm Zechariah and let him know that his prayers were being answered shows that god is good and wants to help out people by giving them a way out. Therefore, the idea of salvation as being something that god gives out makes a lot of sense, as god wants to help out the people and make sure that they have a way to repent and ultimately reach their purpose in
