Hitler was the main man in charge of the Holocaust, but it was not all his fault for what happened to all those people that died. There were three major parties that had a great effect on the people that died, There were the major SS officers, Hitler, and the minor SS soldiers.
The major SS officers were the biggest reason why there were so many deaths. In the movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, the head officers, Ralf, the head officer in charge, would command the soldiers under him to take care of the Jewish people instead of him doing it himself (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas). Towards the end of the movie, his son, Bruno, befriended a little Jewish boy and went inside of the camp. Little did he know that they were all being put into a gas chamber and getting ready to die. (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas). This shows that the major SS officers are responsible the most because Ralf would have to order the minor soldiers to kill off all the Jews. Him telling the soldiers to gas the jews led to him killing his son inside the chamber. If the minor soldiers did not have anyone above them in command, they would not do the stuff that they do. Thus leading to a majority of the deaths from the Holocaust to be blamed on the major SS officers.

Although he did not actually kill people himself, he had other people under his command do it for him just like the major SS officers do. He did more planning for attacks on different countries then he did killing people. He would have the officers under him focus more on the killing of Jewish people. Even though he did not actually kill someone himself, he still authorized the officers to command and allow the soldiers to kill the Jewish people. Since he was the dictator of Germany at the time, he did not have the time to focus on just killing people. He had the people under him do

I feel that he deserves the same 12.5% of the blame since there was an instance where his Secretary of Labor proposed an executive order help get applicants who were fleeing religious or racial persecution. This did not go through since the State Department said that if that order passed it would be like the U.S was putting Germany in a negative limelight and would cause bad relations between the two . President Roosevelt had his Secretary of Labor's proposal though he never issued that proposal so many visa applications from Jewish refugees were rejected. Then there was the Voyage of St. Louis were over 900 passengers sailed to Cuba to wait out so they could enter the U.S but they were unable to wait in Cuba and when there was a telegraph sent to President Roosevelt. He never responded since more than two-thirds of Americans opposed more refugees entering the country, though he could have at least given them some response. The Holocaust could best be defined as the mass killing of about 6 million Jewish people during World War II. A lot of events led up to the Holocaust, during the Holocaust, and even after the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi party and was held most responsible for this terrible genocide. The Holocaust was a terrible time in our world’s history.
Every person has their own opinion on Adolf Hitler, but some do believe he was a good man. He did very terrible things that didn’t even need to be done, and ruined many lives. I have always wondered what could lead Adolf Hitler to want to do such terrible things to such innocent people and destroy so many lives. Only serial killers could find joy in killing a person because it gives them a rush. Once they feel that rush they want to feel it again and again. So, naturally, society is full of people of different backgrounds, race, ideas, etc. Naturally, people of similar ideas group with each other; those who don’t fit in would be better off finding another group of people to go along with. For example, Nazis sentenced Jews to death through concentration camps, and the United States government put Japanese-Americans into internment camps with unfavorable conditions, depriving them of their civil rights. Adolf Eichmann had very good organizational skills that made him affective at carrying out his duties during the Holocaust; however, he used these talents for evil purposes.

The SS (Schutzstaffel) was the secret police of the Nazis, Hitler’s bodyguard. By the end of the Holocaust, two thirds of the Jews from Europe were killed by these men. The SA, a force similar to the SS but much less authoritative, was originally led by Ernst Roehm, but Himmler persuaded Hitler to kill him. (Encyclopedia of World Biography) When Roehm was dead, Himmler took authority over his division. The Gestapo was the police force that was in charge of all of the camps. They worked in camps and took the lives of millions of prisoners in the camps that Himmler designed. Even though Himmler had so much power, he constantly wanted more and more, worrying that he would lose supremacy over these divisions, and relentlessly doing anything possible to become the number one most powerful man in this era.
Adolf Hitler is a very important person in the holocaust. Hitler was a German Nazi in the war.He figured Germans were powerful enough to win. Hitler many years later killed himself, and no one knows why. Hitler was a very strong, willing German Nazi. He attacked Poland in 1939 and that was known as the start of the war.
