Hitler was the main man in charge of the Holocaust, but it was not all his fault for what happened to all those people that died. There were three major parties that had a great effect on the people that died, There were the major SS officers, Hitler, and the minor SS soldiers.
The major SS officers were the biggest reason why there were so many deaths. In the movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, the head officers, Ralf, the head officer in charge, would command the soldiers under him to take care of the Jewish people instead of him doing it himself (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas). Towards the end of the movie, his son, Bruno, befriended a little Jewish boy and went inside of the camp. Little did he know that they were all being put into a gas chamber and getting ready to die. (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas). This shows that the major SS officers are responsible the most because Ralf would have to order the minor soldiers to kill off all the Jews. Him telling the soldiers to gas the jews led to him killing his son inside the chamber. If the minor soldiers did not have anyone above them in command, they would not do the stuff that they do. Thus leading to a majority of the deaths from the Holocaust to be blamed on the major SS officers. …show more content…

Although he did not actually kill people himself, he had other people under his command do it for him just like the major SS officers do. He did more planning for attacks on different countries then he did killing people. He would have the officers under him focus more on the killing of Jewish people. Even though he did not actually kill someone himself, he still authorized the officers to command and allow the soldiers to kill the Jewish people. Since he was the dictator of Germany at the time, he did not have the time to focus on just killing people. He had the people under him do
