Yosemite is a beautiful National Park, with amazing rock formations, mountains, plants, animals, and entertainment. Yosemite National Park is a part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, extending to almost 80.5-128.7 kilometers long. From the highest peak in Yosemite, Mount Whitney, the altitude, from near sea level, is more than 13,000 feet. There are many different types of granite rock that make up the Yosemite Valley. This granite was formed by hundreds of smaller forms of granite rock that have been solidified by of molten rock and constantly broken down from its overlying rocks for more than 100 million years. Differences in granite rock come from the response to weathering and erosion and in appearance. Only five percent of the Yosemite park is made up of metamorphic rock, which grew over the granite rock many years ago, and later eroded away. After the granite rock was fully revealed, almost 25 million years ago, the enormous mountain range cracked along its eastern fault, leaning and lifting the western end. As the tilting augmented over time, it created rivers and canyons that cut deeper into the mountain. After being covered by volcanic lava flows and
“Canyons” by Gary Paulsen was very good book that should be read by middle and some high school students.
The Torrey canyon oil spill was one of the largest oil tanker disasters; it spilled just over 25,000,000 gallons of oil along the coast of Cornwall. The Torrey Canyon was one of the first supertankers originally designed to hold the capacity of 60,000 tons, although, it was later redesigned to hold 120,000 tons. The tanker was filled to capacity when is set out on March 18, 1996, and hit a reef off the coast of Cornwall. The reason the Tory Canyon oil spill caused such great damage and gathered international attention, was the negative impact it had on the environment. Have you ever been in a canyon specifically Providence Canyon? If you did not know it is a beautiful place to visit and explore filled with majestic landscapes and amazing animals. Providence canyon is located in Lumpkin, Georgia. It is nicknamed "Little Grand Canyon" because of the beautiful sandstone formations found in the area. Providence Canyon, as this area is officially named, is located southwest Georgia's Coastal Plains region near the Alabama border. Originally, this area was not a canyon at all, but rather a dense forest. There has been a debate whether Providence Canyon should become a National Park. I believe Providence Canyon is a great place to become a National Park for many reasons. If Providence Canyon becomes a National Park it can be used as a tourist attraction, education for students, and it can be thought of as a park because of its environment and wildlife.

Whoa I almost fell there that is some slick soil. I am visiting the wonders of the world, and I read about this place in an article. The article was called Georgia's, "Little Grand Canyon." This place looks amazing the article was right, for you can see the different layers and colors of the soil. In the article I read that this place used to be farmland that was drained from all of its nutrients by planting the cash crop in the 1800's, which was cotton. One of the things that the article said was, "that the federal government wanted to turn it into a state park just to open businesses around to make money."
The Glen Canyon is a better place because of the dam, because now there is way more power for a lot of people. Cause of the dam, more people are able to visit because it is easier to get there. Thin air encompasses me as I commence the final day of skiing at Vail, Colorado. Seven days of skiing elapse rather painlessly; I fall occasionally but an evening in the Jacuzzi soothes my minor aches. Closing time approaches on the final day of our trip as I prepare myself for the final run of the vacation. Fresh off the ski lift, I coast toward the junction of trails on the unoccupied expert face of the mountain. After a moment of thought, I confidently select a narrow trail so steep that only the entrance can be seen from my viewpoint.
Technological innovation has opened the door for recreational riders to enjoy off-road riding without breaking their bank account.
