There are certain barriers in using reflective practice such as lack of proper resources to improve their learning experience. Some nurses are not aware of how to undertake reflective practice due to their lack of knowledge and also may be worried about documenting experiences and emotions. Furthermore, time is one of the main barrier for reflective practice, learning through reflective practice can be time consuming, and if a nurse is reluctant or shows lack of motivation to spend time in improving their skills or knowledge through reflection or reflective practices, it will not benefit in making any changes in their profession and also in their patient care. According to Forneris et al, (2009) lack of time can cause beginner nurses to become

I have chosen to use Rolfe et al’s (2001) framework for reflective practice, as I felt this was the best model for me to reflect on my academic development. I feel this model is the appropriate model as it has allowed me to reflect on what my situation was, what action I needed to take and the results of that action.

Education has always been a primary concern for my parents, who taught me that if I need to succeed in life, I have to be educated. Following their guide, I have always valued and tried to get the most of any educational opportunity I have had. Having grown up in a business family, I have always been interested in focusing my career in the business field. My Mother and Father own their own company, and they are constantly talking about business, which has inspired me to follow their path. When my parents retire, they want me to carry on their legacy. For this reason, I have decided to pursue my studies in the field of Business and Leadership at Marylhurst University. I want to pursue a well-rounded education at this established university where I also can have life experiences in the outside world, which will ultimately help me to become a successful leader in our family business.

It always takes time to adopt to the technique of critically analysing feeling and action, but then I realised how important this practice is and how it made me understand in-depth the underlying concepts of reflective practice, it gave me the opportunity to examine the basis of my knowledge and to use knowledge to solve problems Gibb’s (1988) describes reflective practice in six stages on how one can ask analysis, evaluate themselves in order to recognise and improve what he or she is doing and used these skills to make change and with these in mind I was able to
I believe that it is essential for a teacher to have a thorough understanding of the standards and the principles of learning and teaching (POLT) in order to not only support student learning, but to also reflect and strengthen their own pedagogical practice. I believe that having a sound understanding of these initiatives has helped me throughout my practicums to produce and maintain a learning environment that is conducive to meeting the students’ needs. I also believe that having a sound understanding on assessment and reporting has helped me to measure the student’s progression, enabling me with the ability to present this information to other stakeholders in the students learning and welfare. While also enabling me with information on

The four different types of learning patterns are Sequence, Precision, Technical Reasoning, and Confluence. Learning patterns are very helpful when it comes to everyday life, school work, and your job. Knowing your learning patterns and which ones you should use make
