Reflections on Spiritual Love

“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses” was stated by Ann Landers. There is a difference between physical love and spiritual love. Platonic love is when you have a close relationship with someone where there is no intimacy or romance. It is similar to spiritual love because two people share a connection and have a mutual respect for each other, whereas physical love is when one person is attracted to another person based on their physical characteristics, such as appearance and intelligence and it may have intimacy. Platonic love allows people to love and share mutual respect for each other and build connections; it is similar to spiritual love. People come into your life for a reason and sometimes there is platonic love where both people help each other develop and grow. You never have a physical relationship with them, yet the platonic love that connects both of you makes you a better person. Everyone has had someone who inspired them in their life and taught them lessons. There have been many teachers in my life that have helped me fuel my creative spark and have helped me grow and keep going when I felt lost and everything was falling apart. One of the teachers that has inspired me in my life is Mrs. Smith. We have a mutual love and respect for each other as teacher and student. Mrs. Smith’s sunny attitude always helps clear away the rain clouds.
