I created a listing of the foods that I eat on a daily basis. And after I compared my servings, and the types of foods I was eating I was astonished.
Prior to September 28th, 2016 my eating habits were very unbalanced. I was guilty of skipping meals, and or over indulging on other meals.
A lot of my meals consisted of fast food, or poor choices of high calorie choices like chips, M&M 's, and beef jerky. The only healthy meal of my day were my dinner choices. Even then, after doing the research on My Plate 's Daily check list and food recommendations I found there were several times I could do to make my choices healthier.

I do feel that there is an issue with proper nutrition, not just in the United States. Unhealthy choices are made so readily available, and consumers do not have the proper discipline to say no. I know that I don 't say no all the time, soda 's, and certain sweets are still a down fall. The poor choices that we are making are leading to obesity, diabetes,and heart attacks.

Of course, purchasing a bottle of dressing last 's many servings, as well as crouton 's. But I combined the price of those as though I 'd just purchased them. My total would round up to $8.00. I managed to get 5 servings out of the head of lettuce with several other supplies left over such as the tomatoes. My total price per serving $1.60.

Of course a salad from a Fast Food chain of any kind will run you any where from $4.50 upwards of $10.00 for one serving. We all know it is easier just to purchase things that have already been done for you. It is the price of convenience. This is why I feel we have become lazy in our ways.

I feel that some of the ways we could correct this growing issue, is implement more farming classes in schools. People are naturally proud of what they are able to grow, and would be more enabled to eat healthy from the harvest they produced.
Also, if the cost of healthier foods came down. Or became just as level with with the pricing of all of the unhealthy choices and options that are so readily
