1. A student in your class hesitates between words while she reads. You notice that she looks around the page while she hesitates. Discuss your interventions plans in order to develop reading fluency. Reading fluency is a very common issue due to a child's upbringing. More than likely, this means that early in the child's life, they were not properly taught and instructed adequately enough on how to write and orally show they understand the words being communicated to them. A poor ability to demonstrate this will reflect in their reading comprehension because they cannot translate words onto paper, therefore will never know their spelling or proper meaning. This can be achieved by the student using methods such as recital, practicing in front of a mirror, and learning to speak comfortably in a front of a group by starting off around their family. This habit allows them to be more comfortable with reading and comprehending words that will eventually be turned into consistent speech and daily conversation. Compare and contrast the bottom-up curriculum and top-bottom curriculum. Discuss instructional objectives, materials, learning environment, instructional strategies and assessment. Bottom-up and top-bottom curriculum are examples of learning implemented in multiple schools based on the fit and what is most likely to bring out the full potential of students. The purpose of these curriculums is to create an environment that develops a child to succeed in life after school as well. Deciding the type of approach should be suited for the interest of the students who are best equipped to lead the class and help progress their own academic future. (Vacca, 2015).
