When you are trying to get a job, once you apply you may receive a call to come in for an interview. Interviews are intended for the employer to gather information about you that was not provided in your application, resume, or your cover letter. When you are going into an interview you should leave a good first impression, and present yourself as the ideal candidate. Before an employer will even consider you for the position, you need to convince the employer in there different ways.

Yourself and your personality
Your abilities and your credentials
Your potential to the company

You should not wait around for someone asking you to do something, take the initiative to take control and take care of that matter yourself. Most interview questions have people squirming in their seats, but there is a question that I feel comfortable answering and the question is "what are your skills and abilities?". I personally have not received a professional interview so I have never had to answer this question but I feel that it is simple to discuss what you are good at and by answering this question, you are telling your employer about your skills. Skills an employer may check for is how you work with others, computer skills, organizational skills, or how you work under pressure. While being asked this question I would inform my employer that I work great with others and have in the past jobs I have had and would let them know of my computer and typing skills. Lastly, I would speak to the employer about my organizational skills. I feel confident in these areas and feel that I am very good at these skills. The job I am currently employed at enables me to speak to customers, interact with my coworkers, and also to be able to use a Point of Sale system. My employer has recently updated their POS systems this week and all of the employees who use these
