I’m creating my Professional Development Plan
A Professional Development Plan, is a tool to help me plan a career, guide development and assess progress toward my career goals.
I look forward to be working in a call center as an IT technician for a Government agency in my forseeable future. I enjoy working with all types of computers and it’s the reason I decided to start a career in IT. In this position I need to able to use the skills I will obtain during my courses in IT, I will strive to become a great customer service representative, as well as providing technical support to the organization, and be the best team player possible.

My main objective is find an organization that will allow me to continue with my educatin so that I can provide them the best service I am able to. Learning all aspect of computers and the different programs available is what will make me the best IT Tech. I will track my progress in this career by taking notes and journaling. I have read that journaling will keep me focused and encouraged by celebrating my successes big or small.

During my research of this career (IT TECH) that as an employee it's a good idea to familiarize oneself with the company policies and procedures on moving up the ladder and what that ladder looks like. Most individuals want to advance in their current position of employment or be promoted to new ones. A realistic plan is needed to do this effectively. Another one of their recommendations is to continue training either with the organization or by taking courses on your own. Having an employee mentoring is a major factor in productivity within the company
