The producer is the person who oversees all parts of a theatre production. They are in charge of the financial and managerial functions of a production, raising or providing financial backing, and the hiring of personnel for creative positions.

2) Describe the basic training techniques for actors according to your textbook. Focus specifically on the physical and psychological aspects of this intensive training. Be specific.
Affective memory is a term that is used to refer to use of the actor's memory to find things in his/her life that are similar to, or could evoke, the emotions required by the character on stage. This involves emotional memory (remembering one’s emotions from the past), sense memory (sensations from the past), and substitution (replacing the person in the play with someone in real life that evokes a particular emotion).
