Sometimes you think you're helping but you're actually hurting them. As I watched these films is saw many example of dignity and basic human rights. Poverty Inc was the only film that really actually caught my eye. It showed me how helping is tearing there business down and we are causing some poverty. We are taking away their basic right by almost shutting down there business, we are also stripping their dignity.

With these films I saw positive and negative dignity. I watched a family that was just simply going to adopt a child, but they didn't because the story with that area was the parents would send their kids to orphans for better life, evolve a simple place into one of the best orphanages. The family did not only help the children learn and find a better place but open up jobs/opportunities for the parents or others that are less fortunate. This helped them finically start a life. With the definition of dignity you showed find respect. This family showed have the up most respect out of anyone in this world or should be close. They moved theirselves in the worst place possible and this was just all to help no payment or reward. …show more content…

If you would say this to someone that didn't watch this film would probably be very confused. By donating all this stuff we are taking away the owners of business that work hard just to move 100 miles to a better place. Why would the citizens of that village work or even purchase anything if they know they are just going to get stuff for free. No profit is being made and everyone is banking on these big trucks bringing them stuff. You could tell by the voice of these people that don't want these donate toons that they are anger. I feel that we should stop for just a little while but still help all the other ways, just to see if there is any
