History of Pipe Organ:
Everyone knows that Music is played an important role in human lives. Music Instruments are also created for people to play and compose songs for them. The Instrument that I want to mention in this paragraph is one of the traditional keyboard Instruments. That is Pipe Organ. This Organ earns a Great reputation as the King of Instruments. The console includes stops, the pedals and there are one to seven manuals or keyboards for a Pipe Organ. This Organ creates sounds by pumping the air through the hundreds of tubes which is controlled by the keyboard. In Medieval (1100 to 1450), the size of Pipe Organ’s keys is very big and people was only be able to play diatonic notes which is known as the white notes on current keyboard today. Until the mid of 15th century, the Organs were developed and allowed people to play both diatonic notes and chromatic notes (the notes is similar to the black keys of current keyboard nowadays). In the Renaissance (1450 to 1600), around in the year of 1500, It is easy for people to play these organs because the size of keys were also decreased. Moreover, at this time, in the north of Germany, Pipe Organ is stepped into a new stage because it was developed to have all the basic characteristics similar to the current ones. Until the Baroque period (1600 to 1750), it is known as a golden age of building organs, the Builders such as Jasper Johannsen, Zacharias Hildebrandt and Gottfried Silbermann are famous constructer who created beautiful sound for people. The next logical step in this evolutionary chain was as sure as a spoiled child’s demands. Now that I have what I want I want more of it. Thus came the psaltery (diagram 2). The psaltery was a great leap fourth from the monochord. It was a small trapezoid shaped box with many strings stretched over it. However unlike the monochord the psaltery did not have movable bridges to change the pitch while playing and furthermore these bridges were much more like the bridges of modern string instruments. The psaltery was played by picking the strings (which were obviously tuned to different pitches) with the fingers or with a pick. This was an extremely popular instrument in the Middle Ages but as the music got more complicated and simple accompaniment wasn’t enough it was soon swallowed by progress.
When someone asks me what marching band means to me, it’s very difficult to come up with a simple answer that everyone can understand. Marching band means belonging to something bigger and more worthwhile than just a “team”; It means having a stake in something that is a treasured part of both our school and our community. Even if it means going to bed feeling every muscle in my body ache and knowing I may wake up feeling worse, I always look forward to doing it all again the next day (and the next year). Marching band is a challenge that pushes the limits of my physical and emotional endurance in such a way that I can’t wait to come back for more because I know I will be a better person for it.

This paper will be explaining the history behind the creation of the harpsichord. This paper will also look at some of the famous harpsichord composers throughout history. There are many other interesting instruments in the world, but the harpsichord made it possible to create many different sounds that led to even greater compositions. The harpsichord was the quintessential instrument in producing the modern days string instruments that are seen in the world today. The harpsichord made it possible to create legendary musical pieces. The harpsichord was one of the main instruments used during the time known As the Baroque Period.

The clarinet is a woodwind instrament consisting of a cylindrical wood, metal, or ebonite pipe with a bell-shaped opening at one end and a mouthpiece at the other end, to which a thin reed is attached. The clarinet has five different sections, the mouthpiece, the barrel, the upper section, the lower section, and the bell. The length of the entire instrument is 60 cm long. The mouthpiece section consists of a slotted cylinder, to which a reed is attached by a metal clamp called a ligature. The mouthpiece plugs into the next section which is a barrel. The barrel is simply a connecting cylinder to which the mouthpiece and the upper section plugs into. The upper section is a cylindrical pipe consisting of 4 holes and 9 keys placed in different locations along the pipe. On the back of the pipe there is a hole and a key that is used by the thumb. The lower section plugs into the upper section and is also connected via a special bridge key. This piece consists of 3 holes and 8 keys. On the inward facing side of the pipe, there is a protruding piece of metal called a thumb rest, which supports the entire clarinet. The bell plugs into the lower section. It consists of a cylinder that flares out into a bell shape and ends the clarinet.

The percussion family that is known in today’s Western Academia music is fundamentally not very different from the shape it looked in the Romantic era. The Romantic era lead to not only the percussion section expanding, but the brass section as well. Orchestra’s in the Early Romantic period (ca. 1830) grew from roughly forty performers to as many as ninety performers toward the beginning of the 20th century. The most growth was the addition of wind instruments with extended ranges, such as piccolo, English horn, bass clarinet, etc.; however, various brass instruments, such as horns and trumpets, were utilized in greater number due to the invention of valves. Regarding the idea of music in Islam, the origins of popular music should be addressed. In the early days of Islam, there was a well-known instrument most commonly played by women: the frame drum. The frame drum is a portable, single-headed, round instrument that is played with the bare hands. These drums were present in numerous societies, namely in B.C.E. Mesopotamia, Egyptian New Kingdom dynasties, Palestine, Greek and Roman Empires, and Arabian and Persian cultures. Discussed in her essay, “The Frame Drum in the Middle East: Women, Musical Instruments and Power,” Victoria Doubleday claims that the frame drums are strongly associated with Middle Eastern women.
Being instrumental reflective has more weaknesses than strength. By interviewing three people with different communication styles, I realize the tendency and pattern of my own style. I identify the reflective side as the “real me” because I use it most of the time. It serves as a good listener along normal conversation with friends and family members because conflict seldom happens through this approach. The only weakness for the reflective side is lack of confidence when I communicate at workplace. The instrumental side appears only when there are conflicts and problems that need to be resolved.
